Do you put sunglasses on your baby when outside?

Ask:
My sister sent me a picture of my 11 week old nephew today. He had on the funniest little sunglasses that are actually goggles. He was grinning a big ole' toothless grin..and it was adorable!!! It got me to thinking, though, what a great idea it is that she already has him wearing these..getting used to always having them on. Does YOUR baby/toddler wear them?
Answer:

Nope, never did. I don't ever wear sunglasses so I suppose I never thought of it.
Answer:

No. Bad mommy am I!
Answer:

I never, ever leave the house without sunglasses on (not even to get the mail) so DD has been wearing them since she was a baby. She must have 8 or 9 pairs because we are forever misplacing them. She just loves to wear them.
Answer:

With my contacts in the sun really hurts my eyes, so it is habit for me, and I started putting sunglasses on the kids as soon as I could. DS (5) loves them and DD 7, needs to be reminded. The eye Dr also had a chat with DD about the importance of wearing sunglasses, so that helped in getting her to wear them more!
Answer:

I've been thinking about this actually. I always wear mine and so does dh so I'm sure we'll get them ASAP for the baby. Its really important to protect your eyes.
Answer:

I haven't found any that stay on yet, but I haven't pursued it very hard either. She has some regular ones and then some with a strap that goes around her head. She ends up pulling at either pair.
Answer:

We had trouble keeping them on the boys when they were little, so we tried to keep their heads shaded as much as possible. Now, they are pretty good about wearing them. DD loves her sunglasses. We tell her she's a movie star when she puts them on. Last night she put them on me and called me "mommy star." We thought it was really cute. I have to have my sunglasses everytime I go out now because my medicine makes me super sensitive to the sunlight. DD likes to copy me.
Answer:

We tried sunglasses with Quentin when he was a baby in AZ, and he hated them (unless they were in him mouth). We got the kind with a little strap to help keep them on, but he still wouldn't wear them, and he always had his hands on them, so I doubt he could see because of the fingerprints. He has a pair now, but doesn't wear them much either. We haven't tried yet with Ian. I make the boys wear hats when we're outside to keep the sun out of their eyes (we always wear sunscreen too).
Answer:

We are into sun protection here- especially for the eyes. It took me awhile to get the kids into the habit of wearing sun glasses, but now they do. We spend so much time outside, and the sun causes so much damage. It is a priority for us.
