Can you freeze mushrooms? I like to use fresh mushrooms for veggie quesadillas but then the leftovers usually go bad before I use them. I haven't tried using canned mushrooms because they seem like they'd be too mushy. Would that happen if I freeze them?

freezing mushrooms is not recommended for anything other than simmering them later for a broth...theyre like freezing a sponge :hurl:
