Ask:
and sprained my ankle and threw my back out (pulled a muscle maybe!?). I'm MISERABLE. My back hurts way worse than my ankle. I have no idea what happened...I stepped down onto our walk which is made of stepping stones and I don't know if I stepped off the edge of one or if my ankle just gave under me...but all I know was that the next thing I saw was the ground coming up to meet my face!! I tried sleeping in the bed last night (actually, early this a.m. because I fell asleep on the couch and slept there until 4:30 a.m.) and it was horrible. I guess the couch is mine until this is better. I'm waiting it out to see if it gets better before I see a doctor (I HATE not having health insurance!). My ankle is wrapped in an ace bandage and I'm icing it...no idea what to do about my back other than a muscle rub and some Tylenol. I have some muscle relaxers, but I can't take them during the day of course and I hate taking them at night because they make me groggy the next day.
Just say a little pray for me that my back gets better soon...
Answer:
God bless you, Martha. You are in my prayers. Rest (yeah, right, I know!) and get well soon.
Answer:
Ouch! I will keep you in my prayers. Feel better soon!
Answer:
Martha,
So sorry to hear about your fall. I hope that you are feeling better soon. Try to take it easy.
Answer:
Oh Martha so sorry big hugs and am saying a prayer for you!
Answer:
But....The question is CAN YOU STILL SCRAPBOOK??? Just kidding but I do hope that you feel better soon. Have you tried one of those Heat therapy back pads? I am not sure of the name brand but they are big sticky things that you put on your back and they give off heat. My hubby uses these for his back aches and swears by them.
Answer:
Ouch!! I am so sorry that you got hurt like that. You might want to try taking ibuprofen instead of tylenol. Not only is it pain reliever but it is also an anti-inflammatory. Which would be really good for both your back and your ankle. Also if you have a heating pad you might want to put that on your back. It might help relax your muscles. I hope you start to feel better soon. I will keep you in my prayers.
Answer:
Ohh, you know what? I think I have one of those here somewhere that I got as a free sample from the freebies forum. I'll try to find it. Right now, I'm using some muscle rub stuff (like Icy Hot). Thanks for the suggestion!
Answer:
Oh yeah....a heating pad...I must have jarred my brain! I didn't even think of that.
Answer:
Alternate a heating pad and ice pak...on both your ankle and back...it will help tremendously!! Hope you're feeling better soon and there's no need for a Dr visit!!
