I hate it when sad things happen to babies. Especially right now while I am pregnant, we haven't had our big ultrasound yet. We don't know if our baby has developed right or not.
So dh's cousin was pregnant with twins (boy and girl), due in July. They were going to induce her the beginning of July if she hadn't gone before then. Well she had them last week, a month or more too soon.
They knew the little girl had problems, but it turned out to be more than thought. At their 20 week u/s they found out her heart was on the wrong side. Last week when she was born they also found out she only has 1 lung. She also has trachial rings so they can't get ventilator tubes down very far.
My heart breaks for them. The doctors are giving her a 20-30% survival. The little boy is doing great. Just small. He is at one hopital and the little girl is at the Children's hospital. Plus they have 2 kids at home (almost 5 and 2). They live over an hour away from the hospitals. Gma is close by to watch the older girls, so that helps her.
I have know several people that have lost babies. It's never easy for anyone. Please send good thoughts and prayers their way.
