I just received an email from my aunt, an insurance agent. She has a client who just went through a horrible house fire and found out the cause was a plug in air freshener. Turns out most of them are made from really cheap plastic and get too hot and can cause a fire.
Please if you have these, be very careful. I am sure some are made better than others, but it's still something to watch.

I never even thought about them being dangerous and have to admit that I had three plugged in at our house until I got that email. I love them, but it's just not worth the risk.

I have also heard that the fragrance stuff in them has fermaldahyde and that sometimes, but rarely, it can kill you because it's so toxic.
