Answer:

Great job! We're having a reduction of people in my house this month and I know I'm going to be cutting my grocercy budget by quite a bit myself. You'll have to pass on some tips!
Answer:

I don't know. I have had bad spending (eating out) habits. $750 is way too much $630 is a start I want to get under $500. $200 on monthly costco trips, $50 on weekly grocery trips and $40 as a cash budget for eating out and summer events. For me groceries include some of the non-edibles like diapers and cleaning products and pet food.
Answer:

Good for you! We have a pretty big stock pile right now so I am determined to use up some of what we have before I buy more. This week I only spent $43.00 at the grocery store. I usually average about $80.00
Answer:

Way to go!! I try to cut my food budget down as much as possible. I'm doing great at the grocery store. The thing dh and I struggle with is eating out for lunch during work. He's a driver, so he doesn't have acess to a refrigerator or microwave and doesn't even make the effort to pack a sandwhich or drinks for the day. His biggest weakness is $1.99 for each redbull he drinks (usually 2xday). Therefore, his daily spending adds up to around $8-$15.00 a day. I, on the other hand, do try to put forth the effort and usually take my lunch to work. I was bad about eating out for lunch every day until I added up how much I was spending weekly on fast food. I also try to stockpile things that I find a really good deal on. For instance, I have about 12 bottles of ketchup and mustard in my pantry that I got for $.10 (ketchup) and free (mustard) with coupons. I have also cut my shopping trips in half. I used to go 2xweek so that I could have fresh not frozen meat. Now, I don't care if the meat has been frozen and thawed. I try to look for good deals.

My monthly grocery bill is usually about $100-$150/month for the two of us. Now if I can only get dh to cut his eating out expenses in half.
