Thank god its over! I'm worn out! The morning was good, nice and cool, Jenna behaved Julia and Jared stayed at their lemonade stand, all was well. By 11 it got up into the 90s and the younger two went home with dad for snacks and nap. I put sunscreen on the kids but forgot about me, my face is lobster red! I was so hot I tried packing up at noon but people kept coming! I lost about an hour at around 9:30 b/c there was a 3 car collision and we had 3 police cars, tow truck, etc blocking the road with cones! My dh teased me and said they were probably trying to read my sign and that caused the wreck! (it didn't really) Oh well, Jared loved it he got to see the cars and tow truck haul one away. We made about $300 after expenses and I still have a van load left to take to goodwill. The kids made around $30 after expenses from their drinks. All in all it was ok, just too hot towards afternoon! Glad it's over, don't know if I'll ever do another though! It's funner to buy something for a quarter than to sell it and lose all that money!

i did one yesterday with my friend she made 300 and i made 150 . im really sunburned too but i love doing yard sales so were doing another in july and one in august . i know were out of our minds

Hey, we just did on today. Made $150. No expenses -- didnt put it in the papers, just lots of signs around, plus put online on craigslist and a tag sale site I found. Had some bursts of people, and a lot of down time. Kids also sold lemonade! Between the lemonade and the toys they sold - they made $15 a piece! Not too bad.
Love going to sales --- having them, not so much. Glad its over!
