I had my sale Friday and Saturday. Saturday I have a fourth or fifth of the customers I did on Friday. I think next time I will do Thursday and Friday.

I did Friday and Saturday, and Friday was definitely the big day. I have been told that Fridays are the best day around here.

I live so far out that I have to go toward town to have a yard sale, and I'm not even kidding!! I normally go to my sister's house and set up. We had one this weekend and we did ok on Friday and I bet we didn't have six customers on Saturday. We always do a Fri. and Sat. However, we found out over the weekend that there was a HUGE annual yard sale that went on for miles (we call them roller coaster yard sales here), house after house. I'm guessing that's where everyone went. We advertised in the paper and put up several signs...I hope we do better in the fall.

I just had one this past weekend with my sister & their friend & we had it Fri & Sat, but got the most customers on Friday & made the most money on Friday. I thought that Saturday would've been better with people being off work & all, but I guess I was wrong.

All my friends and I work every Friday so we try to hit the Saturday only sales first... the rest are picked over by the time we get there.

In my past experiance, the second day of the sale is always when you'll have the least amount of people, because the bargin hunters are thinking that by then, all of the "good stuff" is gone. We always start our sale on Thursday evenings (say around 4) and end it on Friday evenings...We find that we still weren't getting many sale goers on Friday, so when we post our sales from now on we say "Sale: Thurs from 4-8 and Friday from 2-6 NEW THINGS WILL BE ADDED ON FRIDAY...Even if they aren't, it is a good way to get people there both days.

I've only ever done Saturday ones. This is interesting to me. I will remember that the next time we have one....YEARS FROM NOW!!!! (I made a whole $40 off our last one!)
