How do you cheer yourself up?

Ask:
How do you cheer yourself up when you are in a bad mood? I have a whole list of reasons why im in a bad mood today but i just cannot get myself in a better mood!! I don't want to spend my whole summer snapping at the kids, today was their last day of school and already they are on my nerves! My son told me about a month ago that i am always cranky, i laughed it off because he's 15 yrs old and any adult seems that way to him. I don't know maybe he is right? I need to bring back my smile, nothing seems to please me lately. DH left tonight to over the road for the next 2 days and normally that doesn't bother me but tonight before he left i snapped at him that "it must be nice to get away from the family? huh?".
Answer:

I think you need a road trip to Minnesota

I am so sorry, I sure have been there. Is there anyway you can get away for awhile and just do something by yourself? That always recharges me.
Answer:

I agree with Happymom, I think some "me" time is in order. I hope there is a way for you to do that. When I get in moods like that, it really does help to just take some time for myself.
Answer:

Me time FOR SURE! here, Going out to eat with friends or dh, go to a movie alone, scrapbooking, just getting away for some quiet time.
Answer:

I love to go out for a pedicure - I always feel better afterwards. Even a trip to Target by myself is recharging to me.

If you can't get away - can the kids go somewhere for a few days? Family members, etc? Even just a night away makes me miss them. Just DO NOT spend your time cleaning!!!!

Also, I would start a routine and organize some activities so you have something to look forward to and plan on. It's easy to say that you just want to lay around all summer, but for a lot of kids - that's when the bickering and arguing start. I certainly don't keep up the routine of the school year, but some planned activities make all the difference for us. If the 15 year old is too young to work, is there volunteer activities that he could do 1-2 days a week?

We were on vacation last week, so today was our "first" day of summer vacation, being home with Daddy at work. I feel your pain!!!
Answer:

You need some ME time! I agree. My sister and some girlfriends get together on the second friday of the month at one of our houses (so it's cheap) and have girl time. We usually eat junk food and scrapbook and talk about anything and everything. Then twice a year the same group goes to a cabin in the mountain for two nights, no kids, no hubbies, just girls. It is so much fun. We look forward to our time together and having it scheduled helps in knowing I'll get some ME time soon.
Answer:

Get some Me time! I know it helps me. Also, I find iy helps to look at pictures of the kids being good and cute after they go to bed. Then I end the day thinking how sweet they are and how much I love them. By morning I'm ready to see them again instead of thinking "here we go again".
Answer:

Answer:

Answer:
