I have not made my own pizza crust in YRS and so therefor,I have been buying frozen pizzas on occasion.Well,my kids have been asking me about a home made pizza and I know inside,it is the cheapest way to do it as well as tastier,but I remember that I quit making my own when it started giving me a crap load of problems.So if you have an easy one...would you please share?LOL...TIA!

2 1/2 c flour
1 (.25 ounce) active dry yeast
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp basil
2 Tbs olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 Tbs sugar
1 c warm water
Combine flour, salt, garlic,basil,sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Mix in oil and warm water,let rise 30 min. Spread out on a large pizza pan bake 5-7 min. Top as desired and bake
Bake at 375 20 to 25 minutes.

1 1/3 c. warm water
1/4 c. non-fat dry milk
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
1 tbl. sugar
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 tbl. oil for dough
9 oz. vege oil (3 oz. per pan)
nonstick spray
3 9inch cake pans

8 oz can tomato sauce
1 tsp. dry oregano
1/2 tsp marjoram
1/2 tsp. dry basil
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
(mix sauce ingredients and let sit a good hour)
In a large bowl put yeast, salt, and dry milk . Add water and mix well. Let sit 2 min. Add oil and stir again. Add flour and stir until dough forms and flour is absorbed. Knead on lightly floured surface for 10 min. Divide dough into 3 balls. In three 9 inch cakes pans put 3 oz. of oil in each one. Make sure it spreads evenly. Use a rolling pin and roll out each ball into a 9 inch circle and place in pans. Spray the outer edge of dough with cooking spray. Cover with a plate. Place in warm area and let rise for 1 1/2 hrs.
pre-heat oven to 475F. spread sauce to within 1" of edge. Then mozzerella, then toppings then more cheese. Cook until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.

You can also do this in a bread maker if you have one. It takes alot of the time off and it turns out good. Mine has a pizza dough setting, so if you don't have that setting maybe it would not be as easy?

i use the recipie out of the better homes and gardens cookbook ya know the one that is red and white checkerd...its good one recipe make 2 extra large pizzas(if you like thin crust like we do).. i also use the refridgerated pizza crust from the store when its way cheap like i got yesterday 3 for 3 dollars....
