Wow...good idea..too bad it was mine!

Ask:
Have you ever mentioned something to someone and they didn't want to do it. Then a year later they did it and it is wonderful and they don't remember tht the idea came from you.

It has happened twice now with my mom. She just blew off the ideas when I originally told her then she tried them and Wow I was right, but she would never admit it. I did tell her I told you so on one occasion.

They are silly, but still my idea. She has always cooked and shredded her potatoes for cheesy potatoes. I found a recipe and started using frozen hashbrowns. She would not try it. Until now. She always uses hashbrowns now. It saves a ton of time. That's when I told her "I told you so".

The other just happened. I know I read on here last summer about camping omlets. Well I mentioned it last year when we were getting ready to go camping and no one wanted to make it. Well she is getting ready for girls camp and what did she make at home yesterday. Eggs in a ziploc bag and boiled them. Yeah I gave you that idea last year. They will be making them at camp next week.
Answer:

My mother is exactly like this too!!!
Answer:

I love my mom to death but she does those things too...
It seems like they are all the same...
You don't think we will turn out like that do you?
Answer:

The day that I could think of a creative idea before my mother is the day she's not longer with us. I've never met someone so full of ideas. BUt I'm sorry this happened, it's happened to me with friends on occasion.
Answer:

Yep its my dh that does it though. He's always coming up with a "new" idea--that I told him about a week or two ago! lol What a dork.
Answer:

That would be frustrating!
Answer:

That is very frustrating. I could see my sis doing this though...
Answer:

I used to go to preschool with one of my patients, the teacher in his classroom disliked me because I was overweight and over 30 - everytime I had a good idea or suggestion she ignored me... a week or so later she would do it and take credit for it being her idea.

Ughhhhh!
Answer:

That happens to me at times too. I'm known for cracking funny sarcastic remarks and on occasion if people don't hear me, someone else will repeat it and they'll laugh at that person. I usually just wrinkle my nose....come on, as if THAT person could come up with something so witty!!
