Has anyone else had a child who *desperately* did not want to go to school? I planned on homeschooling my son this year, then putting him in Kinder next year when he was more mature, but now that I am pregnant I think I WANT him in school!
He turns 5 June 10th, so he is old enough. However, he is very immature and had disastrous preschool experiences at 2 preschools (freaks out screaming, running away, refusing to go...) I pulled him from both programs after about 6 months each.
Well, now I'm facing Kinder. *sigh* When I mention school he says, "I don't WANT to go to SCHOOL! I'm not going!!!!"
Yes, I know I'm the parent here, but he has such strong worries/fears. Maybe he's just not ready????? But will he EVER be ready, is my concern!!!!

My ds will go to kindergarten in the fall, but he really does not want to! I have been trying to get him excited about it and telling him about all the fun things he will get to do, but he doesn't want any part of it. You are not alone, I just don't have any advice for you. I could use some myself!
