This past weekend, DH's mom called to let us know that his grandmother had tripped over a vacuum cord and had fallen and hit her head on a heater grate. She lives in an older home with the big heater grate in the floor. Saturday night, she started to feel sick, so she called her daughter (DH's aunt) and told her that she wouldn't be able to go to church in the morning and that she felt like she should go to the ER. Well, they did a CAT scan early Sunday morning and found a brain hemorrhage, and by later Sunday morning, they realized there was actually a blood clot, too. DH's mom flew out yesterday and this afternoon she called here and told us that his grandmother had passed away 5 minutes before. I'm so sad. She was a really good lady and DH is devastated. She was in great health before, so it is really a shock for her to have died from something like this.
