Joining a crop is one of the best ways to get better! It forces you to try new things. And the winners are just picked out of a hat so no pressure to "be the best". Join in next time!

I agree! Even if you don't get many of the challenges done, you can play the games and have some fun while getting more familiar with what scrapbooking is all about.
