Painting a fence

Ask:
I know I am just full of questions today, but it is crunch time before the baby is born and I have a ton to do. So my third question of the morning.
I want to paint my wood fence white. Any tricks to doing this. It is really sucking in the white paint and taking forever.
Answer:

We don't have a fence at this house, but we did at our old house and the rear of the yard was white (our neighbors section) of fence. They painted it every year and it took FOREVER, each slat, getting in between etc...a lot of paint etc You're probably already using a good quality outdoor type paint...right? Can you find a teenager to do it for you? L.OL!
Answer:

use a paint sprayer. you can rent one for relatively cheap. they also have them at home depot, lowes for inexpensive. priime the fence first... use kilz. then paint it. wood (especially pine) soaks up paint badly. priming it will help with that. if you spray it, it won't take you half as long and you will get all the nooks and crannies. good luck!
