Off to Kids Day!

Ask:
Fort Walton Beach is having this pretty cool Kids Day stuff today that a bunch of my friends and I are going to. Magic shows, crafts, science stuff, etc. all on the sound so it will be pretty. There is a great park there, too, if it isn't fun, but I fully expect it to be fun. I am taking my three and one more 5 year old so wish me luck!

I wish you guys could meet me there! It sounds so nice and the weather is great! I love the stuff on the water, but not too close to worry about kiddoes. It makes me remember why I love living in Florida.

Then we are going to lunch and I am picking up my much needed WW supplies! Thankfully, the two ladies who did not get the stuff this week have been nice! I don't want 12 new members at one time again! That was crazy!

So, I will be gone most of the day!

Have fun!
Answer:

Sounds like fun!!! Wish I could meet you there too!!!
Answer:

My Grandpa grew up in Ft Walton... He always tells us about the good ol' days. We visited that area a few years back.. It's beautiful but glad he wasn't with us.. I want him to keep the memories he has.. By accident our film got exposed and we had none of the picts we took for him.. My gradma pulled me aside and said that was God's way of preserving his memories.

Have fun today. It sounds like everyone will have fun.

That is the way my grandmother and father are about West Palm Beach. It is NOTHING like it was when my parents grew up there in the 1950s.

Fort Walton is still pretty nice though. Just a bit larger and more compact. Destin, that is another story. If I had grown up in Destin even in the 1980s, I would cry seeing it today.

Sounds wonderful! I wish we could go, too. We love that area. I know what you mean about Destin. We vacationed there when I was a kid, and it has changed so much. We still enjoy going there, but it's not the same. We hope to make it to that area this September! We used to go once or twice a year, but haven't been since before I got pregnant with DD. I can't wait for to her to see the ocean. She loves the water!
