I'm doing an article for "Organize" magazine about recycling electronics. Of course most electronics still in working condition can be donated, but what about the old inoperable systems? It is so surprising to me that most computer manufacturers or recycling centers actually CHARGE for taking your old computers back for recycling. Only Dell makes it free of charge, but only if you are buying a new Dell computer. Seems backwards to me.
I'm just wondering if anyone has any personal experience on the topic and would like to be interviewed.

I doubt it's worth an interview but where we live the county has one day a year that you can drop off electronic equipment at the dump for free.
