I had a checkup today. I am 13 weeks. We got to hear the heatbeat today. I took my 4 yr old with me. She can now imitate the swoosh swoosh sound of the heartbeat on the doppler.
We also scheduled our big ultasound for next month. We will know if we are having Baby Emma or Baby Superman.
(No we are not naming our girl Emma, my 4 yr old seen the episode of Friends where Rachael had her baby so if she call our baby a girl it's baby Emma. And she calls it baby Superman for a boy. She is pretty set on the baby Superman now. It was only Emma for a couple days.)

Kids are funny - my 3 year old daughter wants to name her brother Baby Coffee Table. Needless to say I've nixed that one but she still refers to it now and then!

We have 2 Emma's all ready, so we are hoping for Superman. I am not getting my hopes up though. I am prepared for another Emma. I can't wait to find out next month!
Little dd has been set on Superman for a while now. I try to talk to her about it and say "what if it is a girl" she says no "Baby Superman". I ask if we can call her "Wonder Woman or Lois Lane or Lana". She might be ok with that Idea.
Can you tell my little dd like Superman? She recently seen all the movies and loved them. She is a big Spiderman fan too. She actually got a bunch of Spiderman stuff for her bday last year.
I guess if we don't ever get out boy, our girls like boy things!

DH and I are having a girl and that is one thing I've been telling him that girls can like and do "boy" things!
My 3 year old neice told us from the start that we were having a girl and was not shy about correcting anyone who thought it might be a boy. I would ask her "but what if its a boy?" and her response was always "but its a girl, duh". Maybe they know something we don't know!
