Need to vent a little but there is a bright side

Ask:
I got up to my happy little phone/internet bill. That was a shocking $230.00
Needless to say I was upset I had budgeted only $100.
My tip is is to call the company and ask the big why the increase. Turns out that they had 3 months where they didn't charge me for internet and ontop of that they forgot to credit a discount I have. I got the bill lowered to $180 once they applied the discount. Now I also know what I should expect as my normal bill provided they bill it correctly.
It just goes to say that questioning things can help you save
I am still miffed that I wasn't charged for internet for those 3 months
Answer:

This usually happens to me with hospital bills. I receive a bill for something that should be covered by insurance. When I call the hospital billing office to politely ask what the bill is for so I can contact my insurance company, I'm told that the bill was generated and mailed to me before the hospital received a response or reimbursement from insurance. Don't worry, disregard the bill. WHy send it to me in the first place?
It does pay to call and ask.
Answer:

I'm going through that right now with my phone/internet bill and with a bill from my OB-GYN because my insurance refuses to pay for my episomoty (sorry if I spelled that wrong). It is so frustrating and so far I can't get the insurance to pay for my procedure (and they won't tell me why) but the phone/internet got taken care of (thank goodness). It does pay to ask questions (usually).
