Both of our couches are shot and one is beyond the throw on a slipcover stage I have been waiting for a really good deal on a new or new as is couch at the furniture store. Everytime I have gone to a clearance center they have had "clearance couches" for $700-$1500 and I don't call that a clearance. Today I went in and I discovered that Art Van is closing out on their floor models for tons of models! I saw a Lane Microfiber sofa for $599 and a Lazy Boy Sofa for $428. Because they are as is I haggled a little and I think they will be willing to take off $100 off of each...I might try offering them $700 for both! They asked me what I wanted off and I told them just to come back with the best offer they could because I know these guys almost never take $$$$ off of anything. Now I just need my hubby's approval on design and color Heck it is almost impossible to get one for that price now on sale

Well the store was very stubborn and more or less refused to budge on the other couch...even though we told them it meant we would leave with purchasing just one We ended up gettting the Lane Microfiber Reclining 3 seat Sofa though We got it for half of what similar sofas cost just because it was a floor model and had 3 small ink marks on it...which we made them remove before we would buy it!
Finally a new couch..our one couch was sucking us in...not good when you are pregnant and get stuck
My very large MIL slept on it several times and really broke the old one in...like she broke our toilet, our old recliner(never worked the same), cracked the drywall by sitting in a window and a broke a nice chair we had on the porch. Thank God the inlaws only come for day visits now and she sits on a kitchen chair now. If she ends up breaking any more items by her size I told my hubby he would have to quietly tell his dad and insist on money to fix it or reimburse us for it.... I am not willing to spend $2000 or more on a sofa so it can handle her size.
One thing I really like about it is that the recliner release is a small lever beside the cushion so we won't have to worry about our baby getting knocked in the head if she pulls a lever.

thats great i'm looking for a good deal on sofa my bil got a microfiber sofa and love seat in the clearance section of sofa mart for $400 bucks both pieces..it had a stain on the back of the couch an loveseat they cleaned it and it came out....its nice stuff....great deal enjoy your new sofa!
