Here it is - I am ready for the feedback

Ask:
Hello ladies,
here are my first sb pages. They are 8x8, I thought it would be easier to start with the small book, but now I think I was wrong. I would be able to put more pics and other stuff on larger pages. So, I bought a 12x12 album and hopefully will be starting shortly.
Now, that my DH showed me how to download pics on here, I should be all set.
So, what do you think? You don't have to sugar coat it

P.S. I have no idea how to make them smaller Help!!!!
Answer:

You're off to a wonderful start! Great job!!
Answer:

I love the flowers with the bee next to them. Your off and running...keep it up!

As far as making pics smaller...what I do, is when I take pics to download I change the image size (on my camera) to 640 x 480 and then I don't have to change anything to make it smaller. Just remember to change it back to the 1600 x 1200 (or whatever you usually use) so your good pics will be print worthy.

I don't have a very good camera though (getting to be about 6-7 years old now I think) I so want a new camera...maybe Christmas.
Answer:

Oh...you want feedback. Really the only thing I would tell you is that I would use mats behind your photos (pieces of paper/cardstock that is trimmed just a little bit bigger than your photo) but that is simply personal preference. Otherwise you're doing awesome!
Answer:

I think they look great!

I agree with Mommyfink about the mats ~ but as she said its's a personal preference. I tend to like them because it just gives a oomph to the pics and fills the page out a little more. However, I have to learn that a page always doesn't NEED to be FULL!

Keep it up - I am so glad you joined in the fun
Answer:

The second page would look awesome with a mat! I like the first one as-is. I think that 8x8 is harder, too. Try a 8 1/2x 11 or 12 x 12 another time and you can see what you prefer....
Answer:

I agree w/the mats as well. I don't use them on all my pages but I probably do on 90%. I also try to journal on most of my pages but 8x8 doesn't always allow you to do that.

As for making your pics smaller, if you're using photobucket click on the pic which will make it bigger on your screen, then go to resize (above the pic) and ig will give you different options. Pick the one w/message board next to it. It will permanently resize it on photobucket but not on your camera. HTH

Thank you so much for kind words and the feedback. Looking at it again, I can see why having mats would be better.
I went a little crazy in WalMart a few days ago and now have tons of different colors of paper and stickers and all kinds of stuff.
We are going to visit my IL's next week, in New England, so I think my next album (12x12) will be from that trip.
I will have to ask my husband on how to change things on my camera to make it smaller for downloads.
Thank you again, ladies. SB is so fun and very addictive and I just love it!!!
Answer:

Very pretty posies ~ as my ds would say!

Thanks for sharing.
