Spotting?

Ask:
Has anyone spotted during pregnancy? I am spotting a little bit. I am worried. The baby is still kicking. I am going to the dr. this afternoon. Is spotting a cause for bed rest? I am trying to rest as much as possible now, but with 4 kids its hard.
TIA!!
Answer:

I spotted after the first Month of pregnancy. I turned out just fine.
I have know one other person who had spotted a little later in the pregnancy. I think she said it had to do with something, not sure...but she was OK too. But her Doctor kept a closer eye on her pregnancy.

Call your doctor and get an appointment! Nothing like a trip to the Doctor to ease your worries.

Good luck and take care!!!!

I didn't just spot, I bled for several weeks about 10-12 weeks into my pregnancy. I had it all -- the bright red blood, the dark mud colored blood, little clots, everything. I was a mess and sure I was going to miscarry but as you can see in my signature, everything turned out beautifully.

Try and take it easy until your appointment this afternoon. When I was bleeding my midwife told me to take it easy, but I was not on bedrest. I hope everything turns out to be just fine. I would think that still being able to feel the baby kicking would be a good sign. Big hugs coming your way. :hugs:
Answer:

I agree, some women spot/bleed through most of their pregnancy, so it's not necesarilly a "bad sign". But please do get it checked out, and until you can stay off your feet as much as you can. Lay on your bed and prop your feet up.

Hugs and let us know what the update is!!!
Answer:

Spotting is fairly common really. Just try to take it easy until your appt. and then make sure you let the doctor know. They can check and find a cause and keep an eye on you.
Answer:

Spotting is common, but touch base with your Dr and let them know what is going on. They will let you know what they want you to do and if they want you to come in.

This is exactly what I was going to say. Don't panic yet. Call your doctor and see what they say. Many people spot a lot during pregnancy. If it becomes excessive or with large clots then obviously it's more of an emergency. HTH

how was your appt? just checking in to make sure everything went fine!
Answer:

I had bleeding with my second child really bad 2 days before my first actual appointment I was very panicked. they told me to put my feet up and then sent me in for an ultrasound. I too thought for sure I was losing the baby. Everything turned out fine (he is now 3) anyway I guess it is pretty common. I would still call the dr. and let him/her know. Good luck I am sure all is fine.
