The bugs are so bad that it is detering my girls from wanting to go outside. They love it outside so that is saying a lot. They swarm us when we go out and end up in our eyes, nose & mouth.

They are sometimes bad, but at my Mom's they are super bad. She lives near a creek.

That recently came up in conversation w/dh - we were discussing why we were happy we left upstate NY to live in the desert. We don't have those nasty, dastardly things. I remember them well!
The other thing that came up was sweat bees. I don't miss them, either!
