Mimi's Sticky Chicken

Ask:
2 t. salt
1 t. paprika
3/4 t. cayenne pepper
1/2 t. onion powder
1/2 t. thyme
1/2 t. white pepper
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/4 t. black pepper
1 whole chicken-3 pounds
1 cup chopped onions

combine the 8 spices.Rinse chicken,drain well.Rub spices over chicken.Place in zip lock bag and let sit over night in the fridge.

Stuff chicken with onion.Place breast side down in roasting pan.Roast uncovered 250 for 5 hours.

Some people did it with chicken leg quarters and baked it at 350 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.Until done.That is how I am doing mine.

Do you think that this could be done in the crockpot??? With summer I am all about not having to heat up the oven any more than necessary.
