I NEVER use bleach, but we use our share of persoxide.
my dd hemorrhaged severely in december and was in the hospital for a week because of it. her favorite dress had gotten covered with blood, btu since we weren't home for as long, it had dried and been set in. I got to it a few days later, where i let it soak in peroxide. every day i would replace the peroxide, it took about 2wks (i did nothing but let it soak, if you swish and 'wash' it comes out sooner) but every speck of dired on blood came out of that dress and the colors are just as vibrant as before!
we use it for cleaning all sorts of stains with very good success.
my dh does use it when he gets ulcers in his mouth (like canker sores, but worse) and when he does they take a lot less time to heal
plenty of ppl swear by oxiclean...peroxide is the same thing, with less chemical, but lower concentration

and common sense just says not to swallow/inject it
