Ask:
I was wondering if anyone knows of any good swingset sales? I know this would be the time of year to buy one since they're probably marked down. It really doesn't matter if it's metal or wood, either. Any help would be great.
Answer:
If you are not bothered about it being brand new try craigslist.com and your local newspaper to see if anyone is selling or giving away a used one. My friend got a used one for free from the local paper and there was nothing wrong with it.
Answer:
Try Costco. 2 years ago, we got a Rainbow System through them even though the closest store is over 100 miles away. Delivery was free and it was about half the cost of ordering through a dealer around here. It was just a few hundred dollars more than the sets at Sam's and BJ's but much higher quality, no pressure treated wood, and guarranteed for years more. Worth it in my opinion since we have 3 kids and it needs to last 10+ years.
Answer:
I would definently check the newspaper and ebay for swingsets in your local area. We just found a used one (at a used car dealership of all places) and paid $400 for a $1700 model that was only 2 years old. They are out there - just keep looking and don't be in too much of a rush to find one. Also, tell your family and friends that you are looking for one. The more eyes and ears the better!!!
