I did a Google search and came up with tons of sites to chose from.
I chose a site called PhoneIsCash.com. You enter your brand/model of old cell phones. It will tell you if they want it--I had 2 that were too old. But I had 2 they accepted. One was worth $20, and one was worth $30.
You charge your phone and send it in. They do a series of tests, including making a test call somehow. If it all works, they send the check.
What I liked the most, they emailed me every step of the way, such as phone has been received, etc.
I just thought I would pass this along, I used the site, and am very happy to have gotten $50! By the way, I get nothing for suggesting this. I just hoped to help someone else make some money.
Also, for my really old phones, I grabbed pre-paid envelopes at Best Buy and mailed them in. I figured if they couldn't be refurbished, at least they would be able to properly dispose of them. And it helped clean out the drawer in the kitchen!

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WIPE ALL YOUR NUMBERS OUT OF THE PHONE BEFORE YOU TURN IT IN!!....if these are recycled and put back out then the person getting the phone willhave your numbers...this is happening right now with a lady in my community...SO WIPE YOUR NUMBERS OFF THE PHONE!

THANKS, CoffeeGirl! I have never heard of this idea. I went to the site just now and it looks like I'm getting $50!!! Even more if I can find the other 2 or 3 old cell phones that I've given to my children to use as toys! Who knew??!
