Ask:
I need suggestions of different foods I can try to feed my son. I feel like I continue to give him the same things. He is doing well with small bits of ground turkey, mac n cheese, torn up lunch meat and small pieces of cheese, also yogurt and scrambled eggs........any other suggestions
Answer:
I have a 14 month old daughter and she loves hotdogs, waffles, pancakes, butter beans and she loves to hold her own green beans. But her latest craving is pickles she has to have at least one a day! She defininitely gets that from her daddy
Answer:
OMG! That is all my 14mo old ds lives on too! Turkey lunch meat, cheese slices, mac & cheese, spaghetti, diced fruit and veggies, applesauce, he still loves Cheerios and Chex cereal. I wish I could give him eggs but so far he still gets hives from them. I can only give him soy yogurt as so far he's still lactose intolerant and still on formula (we are ready to try introducing whole milk again)and the soy yogurt is so expensive. I feel so bad that he keeps getting the same old thing for lunch and dinner but he doesn't seem to mind. Not that we eat pizza all the time but he likes that too. It's funny that I don't remember what we fed our 4yr old ds when he was this age. I'm looking forward to some suggestions too.
Answer:
once my kids turned one I just fed them whatever we were eating diced up. Applesauce has always been my ds's favorite. Well yogurt is the family fav, but trying to think of things you didn't mention. Cheerios are a staple! LOL What are those pasta things that have the cheese inside, oh ravioli's (we don't eat hardly any pasta/italian so forgive my ignorance), those would be good diced up of course! That and some vegetable would be a good dinner. I'll try to think of more not already mentioned!
Answer:
The mention of ravioli jogged my memory a little, thanks! When my 4yrold was one those Gerber graduates were new. He loved the little bowls of of ravioli, they come in broth. I would just drain them and he gobbled them up. Since I don't buy baby food anymore I forgot all about these since they are in that section of the store. They were great for the diaper bag and not so messy since they aren't in pasta sauce. I will have to go get some of those. Ok, they are called Pasta Pickups and come in chicken/carrots, beef/tomato, spinach/ cheese and just cheese, all in the chic broth. Gerber also has potato mashers which I have tried for him and he didn't really care for. They also make Lil Entrees that my 4yr old loved. I guess I could try those too. Those are just great to pack along with you if you go out to eat or are gone for they day since they can be eaten at room temp.
Both my boys (especially my 4yr old) will eat canned veggies right out of the can and straight from the fridge, not even warmed up! Carrots, green beans and peas, it grosses me out but hey, at least they eat their veggies.
Waffles or pancakes are big for breakfast here too. Oh, he will heat a cut up Tyson chic pattie with his mac and cheese also.

My dd just turned one and can eat pretty much anything, except of course, nuts, hard carrots, etc. I gave her little pieces of salisbury steak the other night and that went well. It's just a matter of them getting use to the textures. She loves spaghetti, and I cut up mac and cheese for her - I'm not ready to give her Kraft yet, but she's had the Stouffers. I still start her with the Gerber foods and snacks, and keep her on the Gerber cereals, as they have iron, but she's getting a lot from whatever we eat now. She likes salmon, chicken, mashed potatoes, soups, etc. She's even learning to use a spoon - messy, but necessary. Have fun!! She also loves pizza! We give her little pieces.

I know how you feel! From time to time I feel like I'm stcuk in a toddler food rut!
My dd loves Beans! Baked beans and black beans are great for little ones. They are packed with nutrients and are soft enough not to worry about them. They are messy, but they are worth it! DS is 8 mths and has already developed a love for beans and peas.
I also remember that ds liked the fruit cups from Dole and DelMonte (or store brand). They are cheaper than the gerber and I found that the chunks are about the same size. Mandarin oranges are still one of her favorite foods. When we got to Wendy's we have to hide the oranges or she won't eat anything else. Just be carefull, they can be rough on the other end if you give them too much!!
Oh, I also forgot fish sticks. They are pretty soft and easy to chew.

My DD is just a couple of weeks shy of 1 and she eats everything we eat except nuts and nut butters and shell fish. If the boys eat a PB&J, she eats a jelly sandwhich with fruit. She also loves beans of any kind and tomatoes. She is not picky and will eat anything put in front of her, but anykind of pasta and pot roast with all the veggies seems to be her favorite.

Thanks for posting - my 9m has just started solids (apparently she loves them @ daycare - but is just starting @ home) so I need suggestions as well. I would like to teach her to enjoy all types of foods and to eat what is being served (ie what I am having - as long as it is "safe" for her and cut to a size she can handle. Thanks to all you experienced moms for the help!
Answer:
