What made you smile this weekend? 08.20.06

Ask:
What did you see or do that made you smile this weekend?
Answer:

I watched the kids work together to clean out their outdoor toy box & PURGE! They didn't argue about a thing and got rid of a ton of stuff. Since they were choosing what got tossed, there were no hurt feelings.

My other happy moment was having dinner Saturday night with my Mom, Grandma, Little Sister, Brother & Sister & their families. I take for granted that they are less than 10-25 min up the road. I'm noticing the little things that I take for granted with this possible move coming up.
Answer:

I got dressed up, wore makeup for the first time this year, and went to dinner and a comedy club with some friends. When I looked in the mirror, I knew I looked good so I smiled! Haven't felt like that in a long time.

My 18mth old spilled the rubbermaid tub of crayons all over the floor. The other 3 (who were doing other things at the time) came running and helped pick up. They weren't asked, they didn't say anything....they just picked them up.

It made me smile seeing all the "sisters" come to the rescue.

My little diva, who just turned one this week, pointed to a drawing ds had taped to our wall and said, plain as day, "Picture". Then when she woke up from her nap I asked if she was ready to get up and she pointed to where I keep the diapers next to the bed and said, "Diaper", she couldn't see them, but she knows I always change her before we get up. She's learning!!
Answer:

Our church went to another local church in town and our puppet team performed!!! It was amazing, and my younger boys sat in awe! The youngest was just moving to the music, and was so moved he had to get up a dance a little jig to one song. OOL It's so gratifying to see them smile and have a good time, and dance a little!!!

Isn't it awesome to sit back and just watch our kids learn something new, take pure joy in something or choose to do the right thing on their own. I love it!
