Looking for preschool material

Ask:
Even though I am not officially HS my 3 oldest anymore, I have decided to take on the task of HS my 3 year old this year and next. The reason is next fall all the kids her age will be going off to kindergarten. Not DD. She misses the registration cut off by 10 days to enroll her. So technically she will be a year behind her peers, or a year older than her class mates. To get around all this the DoE told me I could HS her and then the year I would enter her into kindergarten, notify the school she was HS and register her for 1st grade. This is what I am going to do. She is too bright IMO to hold her back that extra year because a school system refuses to enroll her based on her b-day. (BTW, I can get away with all of this as state law here says I do not have to send her to school until the age of 7)

My question is this, does anyone know of any good sites where I can get WS and other lesson ideas, etc. to take on this venture. I use to know of several back when oldest DD was that age, but most seem to be gone now. Of course that was 7 years ago. I know about sites like the learning page and Jan Brett, etc. I don't want to buy a curriculem b/c I know I can get what I want off the net. I already know what she needs to have mastered as I obtained a copy of learning objectives from our local school system for each grade. I have aslo used several search engines to hunt for sites so I know there are a ton out there, but is there any in particular that anyone would recommend over another?

Any help would be greatly appreciated?

TIA

Letteroftheweek.com is great!
Answer:

Yes, letteroftheweek.com is great... my kids have enjoyed it, plus there are links on that page to other helpful sites.

The more I use starfall.com and spend time on that site the more I like it. There is a TON of neat stuff on that site; you can't take it all in just browsing it or even using it just for a few weeks. My dd just turned 2 and already knows most of her letters and letter sounds. She is no genius- she just loves the letter section on that site- the music, the pictures, etc. She asks nearly every day to "do letters" and so we'll flip through 3-4 at at time, and she just soaks it in.

Answer:

This is the absolute best preschool site ever. The ideas here can be used within a classroom, a home school, themed birthday parties, or just for doing something different with your kids.

It's theme based itself so it makes researching ideas on how to incorporate science, arts, language, texture minded activites within a given theme. I used it a lot to set up my classrooms!

You will thank me!!
