Birth Announcements

Ask:
I was looking at what kind of birth announcements I wanted to do and something that was cheap. Any suggestions? I think the best I have found so far is using Shutterfly, but I haven't gotten to look too much.
Answer:

I did mine at costco (online) from what I found they were the cheapest for the quantity that I bought (100)... It is $15.99 for the first 50 cards (and envelopes), then $5.99 for each additional 25 (cards & envelopes).

Wallmart.com *shudder* also does cards like that, and I hear they're cheaper if you only want a few.

Granted, with these types of announcements, you're limited style-wise, but for me, it was quick, easy, cheap, and cute
Answer:

I never did formal announcments so I'm no help. But she was right about costco is cheap!
Answer:

I printed my own with a kit from Target. They were cheap and adorable, and I printed a small picture off my computer to send with each one.
Answer:

With my first, I made the announcements myself and it was horrible, I would never do that again, it seemed like a good idea until I had a little one. With my second, I did snapfish and they were cute and easy. I know that i just like to look at the pictures anyway, I don't really care what the announcement looks like
Answer:

I hadn't thought about Walmart but I will try there. Unfortunately I don't have a cosco membership anymore. But I don't really care what the announcement looks like anyways as long as I can get a cute picture of my baby-to-be!
Answer:

Looks like Walmart might win. They are the cheapest for 4x8 cards..

1-hr In-Store Pickup: 40¢ each
Free In-Store Delivery: 33¢ each
Home Delivery: 33¢ each

Plus it doesn't look too bad..

Answer:

Do you scrapbook? You could make your own cards and put in a pic.
Answer:

Answer:

I've started doing invitations, birth announcements, holiday cards, etc. I've done it for a few friends and I really enjoy doing them. I design them and you can print them as 4x6 photos at walmart (or wherever). I can do a sample for you if you'd like!!
