Ask:
Has anyone used one of these (something like this: Ian either kneads my neck of breast or pulls my hair when he nurses, both can be painful, especially since he doesn't like me cutting his nails, so they're always sharp . I thought something like this might give him something else to hold on to, but I'm a little concerned about the safety (them breaking & beads going everywhere = choking hazard). Does anyone have any experience with them and/or know of good, sturdy ones? Thanks!
Answer:
I have one and I have also given one as a gift. Both of them came from Tickled-Pink-Designs (. I never really got into using it for nursing - although I do carry it in my diaper bag because it makes a great teether/toy for my son (ironically his name is Ian also). It is very well made (there's safety information on the website) and fairly well priced. Both necklaces arrived in less than 2 weeks (and both were personalized). I would definitely recommend trying one. I do feel like I have gotten use out of mine and it's a great keepsake to remind me of my son.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check out the website.

These are cute. I have a Brighton Lariat necklace that is long that I let dd play with when nursing. She's a little jewelry lover, anyway.
