Ask:
It's awesome, in case anyone was wondering.
Bob Seger's new one came out yesterday - haven't bought it yet but heard a couple of the songs on line & they were quite good. He has one that's a duet w/ Kid Rock that was quite good, and I'm not a big Kid Rock fan.
But that Dylan CD....if you like Dylan at all, it's really worth it.
Answer:
I agree! It sounds like old Dylan. Another great one I just got is a compilation CD that Mark Knopfler (from Dire Straits) and Emmylou Harris just put out. It is excellent. The whole thing just flows. Same with the new Ray LaMontagne CD. If you aren't familiar with him, he is wonderful. His last CD from last year is one of my all time favorites.
Answer:
Can we actually understand what Bob is saying? I swear, when he sings I can only make out a word or two. He mumbles so bad.
Answer:
I never thought Seger mumbled, for me that was more Michael McDonald with the mumble.
I also enjoy Ray LaMontagne - especially "Trouble". Been meaning to get the new album but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Sorry, I forgot we had two Bobs going here. I meant Bob Dylan.
You're right -- Michael McDonald is a bit of a mumbler too. Elton John is a little guilty of this also. Thank goodness for the internet and websites with lyrics. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't know what half these singers were saying. Entertainers should take a lesson from Frank Sinatra and properly pronounce the words in their songs.
