Ask:
Ok my 20th old has been having really weird poops. They are really green...like fluorescent green. The only thing that I can think of they have come from is the fruit loops we have had for breakfast...
Ok my concern is this (don't laugh too hard)...I think it's staining her butt . I have wiped her, and wiped her, bathed her, wiped her again...and her butt has still got these little patches of dark spots that I CAN NOT get off.
Do you think that her poop could do that ~ or should I call the Dr. cause something funky is going on? This has never happened with the other kids....this is so weird.
Can anyone HELP ME??
Answer:
I gave my dd a cupcake about a week ago and it had bright blue icing...you can see where I am going with this...
It did the same thing to her for two days and her little hiney was tinged blue because of it. I change her as soon as she poops too, so it's not like it was sitting on her butt dying it blue for a long period of time. Don't worry, it will wear off when you stop feeding her whatever it is that has the green dye in it. I would hold off on the fruit loops for a few days and see if that stops the problem.
Answer:
i agree
Answer:
Yep, fruit roll ups and too many gummies can do that, too!! I would know!
Answer:
I know that things can change the color....I guess I just never imagined they could STAIN. Grape Koolaid is a great offender too.
At least I know it's not just my kid...
Answer:
red jello, I thought it was blood. The doctor knew better...
Answer:
Also anything with electrolytes in it. Not just for kids. Gatorade and Poweraid can do it to adults also!!
Answer:
Yep it's the fruit loops. Captain Crunch Berry does it too!!
Answer:
You know the colored animal crackers? Yep, the same thing! I felt bad because I brought them in for all the kids at our Mops meeting!
Answer:
Green Froot Loops are the culprits in that cereal - happened to my DS too. I have not given him those types of cereals since. Now the baby is really sensitive to colors and regular vegetables will do this too.
I will wear off, promise.
