Question about packaging.........

Ask:
I just started selling on Ebay. I'm mostly selling my boys outgrown clothes. What sort of packaging materials do you use when mailing out clothes? Do you use tyvek envelopes, manilla envelopes or boxes? Thanks!!
Answer:

Depends on the type and amount of clothes but I prefer the tyvek envelops for 1-3 items depending on their size. The manilla envelop is a last resort to me, it's so cheap, could rip, or get wet.
Answer:

I also prefer the tyvec envelopes. I always save boxes that seem sturdy enough to ship; it doesn't matter what size they are, you never know when you will need them!
Answer:

I save everybox I get and that is what I use to ship. If it is priority mail, I use a priority box
Answer:

I have also recently started selling on e-bay. I used the priority flat rate box and shipped four pair of boys jeans and four shirts they fit but just barely!
Answer:

I can't find a place to get the Tyvek envelopes...where do you get them??

I've used a manila envelope before...I thoroughly wrap the clothing in plastic and then slide it into the manila envelope.
Answer:

You can get all kinds of materials to ship priority for free by going to the USPS website. They're delivered right to your door. Thats what I usually use.
Answer:

I almost always ship priority mail when selling on eBay. The shipping supplies are free and if you print your postage thru paypal or the USPS site you get free delivery confirmation. I would never ship eBay packages without delivery confirmation.

I typically ship lightweight clothing in the tyvek packages because the shipping is cheaper than using a box.
Answer:

I DO use the manilla evenlopes and haven't had any problems. I've been doing this for years. I wrap the item first in a ziplock bag then put it in the yellow evelope. This is how I keep my cost down.

Where do you find the tyvec bags?? I've never been able to find them.
Answer:

i mail clothing items in a box
