Spin off....Eating Cheap in Vegas...

Ask:
Anyone have any good places to recommend??
Answer:

I've been there once, and we mostly ate at the various buffets at the casinos. I loved some of those International buffets where you get food from around the world.
Answer:

I'll try this again - I just posted and then it said I had to log in and it was not valid.

If you stick to the locals hotels like Terribles teh buffets are cheaper (old style Vegas prices of $3.50). The RIO has a good buffet for a bit more.

It has been a while since I have been there. You can also find bogo coupons.

Answer:

In researching our trip to D.C., I came across a great site called tripadvisor.com They list resturant's in a city by 1) popularity or 2) alphabetically. They also list average prices. We are able to find some great cheap sounding restuarant's that way.

We are staying at the Tropicana. Last time we went, we stayed at the Monte Carlo (Love the brew pub).
Answer:

You can find coupons everywhere...at the airport, in the hotels, on the shuttle buses, in cabs...even in some of the boxes along the streets (like newspaper boxes)...lots of magazines w/ coupons in them there. When we stayed at the Tropicana they had coupons you could get daily from them, all for stuff going on there but we got bogo on their buffet and for drinks, and a free deck of cards every day!
