Ask:
THe recent therapist we have taken ds to said ds has "features of orthographic dyslexia". I found a link through the schwablearning.com website for dyslexia and it seems to fit my ds. The therapist has recommended the Wilson Reading method. Has anyone here used this before?
Thanks for any help.
Answer:
I've heard of it, but know absolutely nothing about it. Please feel free to share. It's heartbreaking that both the teacher and my son think that his reading is a weak point. Because I was always an avid, good reader, and when he reads, I think he does well. I guess just not well enough.

Yes, it is very good as a multisensory way to learn to rad. My friends son is taught by it. We have parent volunteers at my sons school training to help readers that may be dyslexic (like my son may be ..... he is currently being evaluated).
