not just for the toilet!!

Ask:
I needed to clean the mildew on my shower grout and didn't have my usual cleaner. I found a bottle of lysol toilet bowl cleaner with bleach and decided to give it a try. It cleaned up every bit of mildew and even the caulking was white and clean. (I was about to re-caulk my bathtub). I left the gel on there for an hour or so and then just ligthly scrubbed it off. It also works for the grunge that grows around faucets that's always so hard too get to. I found a bottle brush to be really useful for around the faucet too!

Answer:

Thanks! I always wondered if that would work.
Answer:

But is it safe to do that? The fumes are one issue, but, especially w/grout, I'd be worried about the grout absorbing it. I always thought that toilet cleaners had nasty ingredients in it that are too strong to use elsewhere, although it does make sense that it would be safe on a tub because both are often porcelain.
Answer:

Thats cool that it works, but I hate those lysol toilet bowl cleaner caps!! I have only tried it twice but they really need to make a more fool and leak proof twist top for them!
