Ask:
With the holidays coming I thought it be fun to see how fair we can stretch what we have. So I'm thinking 2 challenges. Either use it up, what you already have in the house or no spending.
I'm going to go for the use it up. I have alot of extra's in the house and will be done my x-mas shopping tomorrow. Let me know if anyone has any ideas or what you think!!!
Answer:
Do you mean a use it up challenge from the pantry? I'm game for that one. I'll try to just buy essentials ie milk, eggs, meat and use up what I have downstairs. I usually buy nonperishables (toothpaste, tp, soap, shampoo, etc) when they are on sale and I have coupons so I have a stockpile of those. I can do a use it up challenge on those items by banning them from my shopping list.
I can also try to do a no spending challenge except for Christmas presents and Birthday presents and party supplies for both girls. No books or clothes for me. Challenge accepted.
Answer:
I'm up for no spending (except what we really need) the harest thing for me is going to be not buying extra christmas presents, but i made a list and i need to stick to it
Answer:
Well since its not november yet ,I have time to prepair so Ill take the no spending challeng.
OF course Ill have to buy some food but nothing else, no toys, clothes, etc.
By prepair I mean I have to buy some cloths for myself this weekend , otherwise I will litteraly have to wear shorts all noveber.
I cant fit into a single pair of jean I own. I guess thats what happens when you go for four months without trying on a pair.
Answer:
Ill join you, Im also in the process of stripping the house (for one last time I swear( of all clutter etc.
So anything that can be used up, recycled, passed on starts now
Im doing my menus for this week on that principal, its going to make up for some creative mealtimes

Answer:
How in the world are you finished with Christmas shopping. I haven't even begun or even thought about it for that matter. Did you have a lot of people to buy for, or just your kids?
Answer:
i'll go for no spending except for a good bargain for something on my x-mas list...i can also use up my pantry stuff i'm game. the only item i know i need to buy is my oldest a pair of snowpants otherwise i have everything we need...so are we gonna start in november?
Answer:
The use it up is for grocery, household or even gifts. Like I have a ton of B&B stuff I'm going to try to make gifts for the teachers. The no spending is no spening more then the specfic amount set for say groceries, x-mas shopping and such. Does that sound better then just not spending, but doing so within a specific amounts.
I'm thinking about posting weekly on the progress we make and the great deals.
Answer:
I am up for the use it up. I have so much stuff in my pantry and freezer that I want to use up! I also have so much in my closet (shampoos, soaps etc.) that I need to use up and declutter my mess! It will be nice to see what I don't spend on groceries and etc throughout the month to put towards Christmas- I just pray that I don't have a huge grocery bill when I am done for the month !
Answer:
I'm game. I already started the use it up household/pantry. I haven't been to grocery store in 3 weeks, except for dairy. the xmas will be harder since I used up all my stuff the last couple of years. this was my rebuilding year, but I can buy just what I need.
