Ask:
At what age did your little one(s) start saying "Mommy"? My little Diva, now 14 months, is pretty verbal. She babbles (very cute), says "car, doll, balloon, ball, cup, duck, DADDY, kitty cat, doggy" etc. She loves jabbering and learning when she first wakes up. She'll point to things, say "that" and want me to name them, then she repeats. We'll go through a whole list. I'll get to Daddy and she'll repeat. I'll do "Mommy", and no matter what, she grins and says, "Daddy". Stinker. I know someday I'll wish she never learned my name "mommy, mommy, mommy!", but I want to hear it now!!! It's the same thing when daddy comes home: she'll get all excited and happy, holding her arms out. If I leave and come home, she cries when she sees me. I know why, but it's still a stinker. I don't remember when my son said mommy, and I know daddy was first, but my little diva thinks she's a riot, which she is.
Answer:
Hang in there. The baby said it around 11 months and it has gotten much clearer since then. This week he really has been saying daddy much more. He only has a few words in his vocabulary with ball being anything that is round. He used to say tickle tickle, and happy baby but that stopped about a month and a half ago. He will say words and forget them. Unlike Marcus who by 13 months had a slew of words in his vocabulary and a new word daily. The baby is working on doggy. Can't make out much more and he is 13 months.
Hang in there! Pretty soon you will be telling little miss Diva to sit down and shut up.
Answer:
About the only time I hear it is when he's crying and wants me. He goes around in the daytime going "da da da da"...I keep working with him on Momma and other words, but he just babbles. He isn't speaking alot of words, but he sure understands NO.
Answer:
My son was about 12 months before he said mama, or atleast I was hoping that is what he was saying! He still says dada the most though, and he is 15 mos.
