Ask:
I need a simple recipie for lasagna.Never made it and I know it has to be far better then the encor style.
Answer:
How about one that you don't have to cook the noodles?? I just buy lasagna noodles, layer with sauce first, noodles layed out evenly in pan, more sauce, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, cheddar cheese, and crumbled cooked Italian sausage (optional, as I am a vegetarian!). Then, repeat the steps until dish is full. Make sure top layer is a cheese layer so you get that look! Cook 1 hour at 375.
Answer:
I make mine in the crockpot. I'll be glad to post the recipe if you want it.

Answer:
Most lasagna boxes have a pretty good recipe on the back of the box. That's how I learned how to make it at first and now I just add my own twists to it. It's not hard but can be time consuming.

I got my recipe off the back of the no cook great value noodles at Wal-mart. Very easy and if you use mostly the great value items, not too expensive to make. I have found out the hard way, make sure and let your lasange rest for 10 minutes b4 you cut it. It will hold it's shape much better.

Here you go!
(Just a head's up.... I don't use as much salt as this calls for and, depending on your crockpot, you'll need to check it after 6 hours to make sure it doesn't burn. My current cp cooks pretty fast and I've ALMOST burned my lasagna. )
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 small clove garlic, minced
2 cans (15 ounces each) tomato sauce
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 to 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried leaf oregano, crumbled
1/2 teaspoon dried leaf basil
12 oz. carton cottage cheese
1/4 to 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
12 oz. lasagna noodles, uncooked, broken into small pieces
8 to 12 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
Brown ground beef and onion in skillet; drain off excess fat. Add garlic, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and oregano and basil. Cook long enough to heat thoroughly.
Spoon a layer of meat sauce onto the bottom of the slow cooker. Add a double layer of broken lasagna noodles (break to fit) and top with a layer of the cheeses. Repeat with sauce, noodles and cheeses until all are used up.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

Answer:
i will post my lasagna recipe. everyone raves over it. its requested often.its also super easy!!
in a 9*13*2 baking pan
in a pot boil your noodles (the no boil ones i find go crunchy on top) until aldente(firm but not crunchy)
strain the water off, but don't rinse.
layer one layer of the noodles on the bottom of the pan.
The Filling (i reccomend cooking the beef in a bit pot then just adding the other ingrediants to it, it cuts back on dishes)
1 pnd of ground beef
2 cans of tomato sauce
2 tsp italian seasoning
1 diced onion
1 clove diced garlic
2 shredded carrots(snek in the veggies wherever i can, and the don't alter the taste)
cook the ground beef first with the onions and garlic then toss in the tom sauce and the spices.
1/2 tsp salt and pepper
simmer for about 10 minutes to incorporate the flavours all together, add the carrots into this as well. then after 10 minutes is up, put a layer of the sauce on the first layer of noodles, then add a layer of cottage cheese if you like, and then another layer of noodles, then just continue on. then cover the top in grated mozza or chedder or both cheese and bake in the oven covered with tinfoil for about 35minutes. let sit for 5 then cut and enjoy!!
