Last nite Hunter woke me up at 2 am to change him as his pull ups were soaked thru and he was wet. Ok, wake up, change boy o, go downstairs and we lay on sofa trying to go back to sleep. I turned on the tv and there was a show from Autism speaks. It really touched me as the mom's talked about being shunned, the emotional turmoil, the financial problems, etc.
I did go to the website today and although basic in information, it is still a good site for general info.

I have always said that the only people who ever know what we feel are those that are in our shoes. Lately I've met a few moms in real life (I think God has been looking out for me because I have hit a really low point in dealing w/my ds issues) who are going through similar 'problems' that I am and for once I do not feel so alone.
I remember last year (or was it the year before that?) when there was a weeklong series on NBS about autism. Isn't the wife of NBC's president the one who started Autism Speaks? Their grandson is on the autistic spectrum. Do you remember the title of the show you watched? If so I will look it up to see if it will be repeated. Thanks!!!

I am sorry it was 2 am. It was listed on the guide as paid programing. Yes, it was started by a grandmother who's gson is on the spetrum.
Also, discovery is doing a show Sunday at 8 pm on the real rainman. Interesting.
Thanks, for asking about this show.
